Project Details:
An existing business for many years in high precision metal machining, Metal Craft needed a new building. Heritage was contacted to build their new facility. The new building incorporates many green building features and well thought out plans to improve the efficiency of the building and improve the work environment.

The facility will be built with Fabcon Versacor panels that have a high insulation rating for energy efficiency. The exterior design will be architecturally dramatic and pleasing with elevation changes and the use of several building materials: brick, painted areas, aluminum canopy and pre-cast cap over brick.

A unique and stunning element in the overall design will be a large rotunda built six feet above the roof of the building. The rotunda not only increases the building’s architectural beauty but also brings a tremendous amount of natural light to the manufacturing area. The Kalwall sky light in the rotunda breaks up the light and filters in clean light and reduces UV rays and almost eliminates heat transfer.

• High efficiency air conditioning to reduce cooling load
• Specially designed ductwork for reduction of heating and cooling load
• Fabcon VersaCore+Green™ panels
• Chiller system for manufacturing equipment to reduce fresh water needed
• Exterior parking design around existing large oak tree
• Highest efficiency lighting available for machining area
• Kalwall skylight in rotunda for natural light and reduced heat transfer
